Forest Kindergaten

Human Nature School’s Forest Kindergarten program is a fun group immersion in the outdoor for ages 4-6.  Course is offered each spring (Apr.+May) and fall (Sep.+Oct.).  This is a drop-off program and we are happy to support smooth transitions from family to the class community.  Parents and siblings are always welcome to stay around for the morning games, opening circle, and story which last the first 30min-45min of class. You can contact us with any other special requests or needs.

Objectives Include:

  • Facilitating emotionally and physically safe connections to nature
  • Exploring hazards and how to recognize and negotiate them
  • Assisting in healthy group dynamics, basic peacemaking practices and fostering group connections
  • Introduction to basic HNS curriculum
  • Working with each students own passions
  • Fostering opportunities for free play and creative expression
  • Having fun, memorable, and empowering experiences in nature
