Janice grew up in Northern Michigan where she believes you naturally fall in love with the world around you.   Just out of college she taught experiential education with the North Carolina Outward Bound School.  On what was meant to be a short winter break she then took a job at Crystal Mountain Resort and spent the next 20 years implementing many Summer Operations, planning events, facilitating leadership and team development while starting her family in Benzie county.      Her passion is teaching her 15 year old daughter and her 12 year old son environmental responsibility and the amazing wonders of the natural world. She loves birds and volunteers her time working with Raptors.    Outdoors Janice is most likely working in her yard, hiking ,kayaking, skiing or searching for petoskey stones. 

 

Janice is the new small business owner of NORTH  MITTEN , focusing on People and Planet health through Events, Adventures and Education.  Her hope is to live each today and to leave positive impressions along the way.
