As 2024 draws to a close, we wish you a season of peace, joy, and connection. As we look forward to the coming year at Human Nature School, we are dreaming of expanding our programming back to past levels (and beyond) – to provide quality nature-based programming for all ages and schedules!  We will be doing some community visioning and planning to look toward the next phase of bringing the HNS mission – fostering a deep connection to and awareness of the natural word, ourselves, and each other – alive.  Stay tuned for opportunities to participate in this process in 2025.   Help us welcome 2025 with funds to launch some great new programs and support our favorites! 

NEW- School Outreach!

We are hopeful to offer After-school programs to schools in the Traverse City area next Spring. We also hope to incorporate class field trips as well in this outreach to give children an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors with their friends and our amazing mentors. The field trips will take place at our two special locations at the Commons and the Optimist Club Land. We will follow the 8 shields model to encourage a connection for these participants. The majority of these donations supports our instructors time with the youth and the students transportation to the sites. 

Scholarships for The Favorites!

Our Homeschool and Summer Camps are so popular, that we always run out of scholarship money. We would like to fill up this fund to support it throughout the year.
